DEA National Take Back Initiative

The Washington Township Police Department will be hosting “Operation Take Back New Jersey” as a local collection site, as part of the Operation Take Back NJ medicine disposal day. The event will take place at Police Headquarters, located at 1 East Springtown Road, Long Valley, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Saturday October 27^th, 2018.

This initiative is open to all Califon residents, and was organized to encourage residents to properly dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medicine. The goal of this program is allow residents of Califon Borough to rid their homes of these various medications, to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands, especially those of juveniles, and help protect the environment. The only items that will not be accepted are syringes and other sharp instruments.
