The Annual Stream Cleanup is scheduled this year for Saturday, April 13th from 9am-12pm, at Califon Island Park. Registration is open and free to the public. The Raritan Headwaters watershed-wide cleanup takes place in 38 municipalities and across three counties. Last year, there were over 1600 volunteers who removed over 13 tons of trash, preventing it from getting further in the river system and eventually the ocean. It would not be possible to accomplish such a project without volunteers.
Groups wanted and welcomed!
Contact Karen Mastro @ kmastro@califonboro.net or call 908-832-7850 ext. 204 to register or with any questions.
