Invasive Species Information Session – January 14th @ 7:15

The Califon Environmental Commission will host an information session on invasive species on Tuesday, January 14th, at 7:00 p.m. 

Raritan Headwaters Association will present this valuable information session on a subject that affects us all. 

Some of you may have noticed a few big piles of branches and vegetation at the park. This was the work of volunteers from our EC and Raritan Headwaters Association to clear out some of the Invasive Species that have taken over the banks of the river and are throughout the wooded areas of our park. This initial clearing was to make room for the tree planting that followed, but it is only the beginning of what needs to be done. We hope that residents can learn what invasive species are and their effects on our environment through this session.
