Updated Snow Accumulations

The National Weather Service has updated the anticipated snow accumulation totals. The star indicates the location of Califon. Snowfall will continue through the evening and begin to end after midnight from west to east, completely ending by daybreak Sunday. Additional accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected west of I-95 and north of I-195 in addition to what has already fallen. To the south and east of this area, additional accumulations up to 4 inches is expected in addition to what has already fallen.

After the snow ends, continued windy conditions and the drier consistency of the snow will cause considerable blowing and drifting of snow through the overnight.

The National weather Service forecasts strong northeast winds gusting to 55 mph near the coast this evening and will will diminish overnight. High Wind Warnings remain in effect this evening for coastal areas not covered by a Blizzard Warning. Northeast wind gusts in the 30 to 45 mph are expected further inland.
