Juvenile Curfew

The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Califon have established a juvenile curfew in the Borough of Califon commencing at 9:00 PM  and ending at 5:00 AM. during each of the following dates, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 through and including Monday, October 31, 2016

It shall be unlawful for any juvenile under the age of 18 years to be on any public street or place during the designated time with the following exceptions:

1. when the juvenile is engaged in a medical emergency
2. when the juvenile is in attendance at an extracurricular school activity
3. when the juvenile is going to or coming from work where he/she is gainfully employed
4. when the juveniles is in attendance at an evening school of instruction
5. when the juvenile is accompanied by a parent or guardian

Parents and guardians are also responsible for compliance with the curfew.

Notice Of Juvenile Curfew has been filed with the following:

•  Washington Twp./Califon Police Dept.
• Lebanon Twp. Police Dept.
• Tewksbury Twp. Police Dept.
• New Jersey State Police
• Califon Elementary School
• North Hunterdon/Voorhees High Schools
• All Califon businesses

Violators Will Be Prosecuted To The Fullest Extent Of The Law!!
