If you reside on Philhower Ave, First Street, or Hoffman Drive, you have had to endure the construction and inconvenience of installing new water main pipes by Aqua Water. This new infrastructure will be worth it in the end, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while working on this project.
Aqua Water’s contractor, Montana Construction, will install new services on Hoffman Drive from Monday, October 14th, through Thursday, October 17th.
Friday, October 18th through Monday, October 21st: installing additional water main on First Street.
“Procedurally, they are laying all main lines first. The main lines are currently inactive at this stage and will remain inactive until pressure tests and bacteria tests are performed and have all passed. Then, they’ll double back to the beginning of the project (Philhower) and start running new service lines to each property. When all the service lines are done to each property, then they’ll pave. But so that you know, they have several more weeks of work to lay the new services.”
So that you know, no one on these roads has been connected to the main water main yet. Before this occurs, some tests must be performed to ensure no leaks, and the lines must be flushed and tested for bacteria. Once this is done, Aqua’s contractor, Montana Construction, will begin running new services to each house.
