Attention Califon Residents and Businesses! Hunterdon County has made alterations to their schedule for the pending Califon bridge closure. The original “tentative” schedule was for construction to start on or about September 1st. That “tentative” schedule has been changed.
As of July 29, 2015, Hunterdon County has announced a schedule for the deck replacement of the Califon Bridge to commence on August 12, 2015. This will result in the bridge being CLOSED for a period of two (2) months. The contractor for the project; CMS Contracting, Inc started posting “On or About” signs on July 31, 2015.
The County Road Resurfacing Project of County Rt. 512; originally scheduled to begin on August 3rd has been changed to commence in September; the exact date has not been announced, and will be determined. An announcement of the starting date will appear on both the Borough’s website and Facebook pages when Hunterdon County determined the starting date.
Schedules and updates for all projects will be posted weekly on the Borough website and social media sites Facebook, as well as on the Borough bulletin board on Main St.
