Califon Book Shop May Events

On Saturday May 6, 2017 Califon Book Shop and Flowers by the River will be hosting a Sunflower Fundraiser with proceeds to benefit Ballet Forte Scholarships. Children ages 4 to 9 are invited to attend a book reading at Califon Book Shop. After the reading, each child will meet two of Ballet Fortes ballerinas and get a picture with one of them. Your admission is a sunflower that you purchase the same day beginning at 1PM for a $10 donation from Flowers by the River in Califon. Space is limited so please email or call to make a reservation for either 1:30 or 2:30 PM.

On May 20, 2017 scout troops will be treated to Carol Simon Levin presenting, in costume, “Remembering The Ladies: From Patriots in Petticoats to Presidential Candidates”. This will be an hour long presentation from 2:30 to 3:30 discussing amazing American Women.  Scout troops MUST have reservations in order to attend this part of the event. From 3:30 to 4 PM everyone is invited to meet Ms. Levin who will be signing copies of her book.

May 27, 2017 author Charlotte Bennardo will be at the shop signing copies of her books for middle grades. In addition to these novels she also has written the Evolution Revolution Series: Simple Machines, Simple Plans, Simple Lessons.

Stop in for the books on your summer reading lists, and watch for dates and times of summer crafting days at the book shop! Cool off inside while creating a fun craft to take home. New project every week.
