A Big Thank You goes out to Nathan Snyder for applying for a grant to fund tree plantings at Califon Island Park. This grant is offered through Raritan Headwaters Association and is available to municipalities, school districts, non-profit organizations, and private landowners in the Upper Raritan watershed region.
As many of you know, we have had to take down over 75 dead ash trees over the years, and there are more to come. These new trees will have a big impact on the restoration of our parkland and the riparian buffer.
Thank you, Nathan!
If anyone is interested in helping plant trees, please contact Karen or Barbara at the Municipal office. We will need a lot of volunteers!
