Exciting Changes at the Municipal Office

The Califon municipal offices are excited to announce that Caitlin Haughey, RMC will be Califon’s Municipal Clerk/Administrator beginning the new year. Karen’s retirement will be effective February first and will be working with Caitlin from December 9th to the end of January so there is a smooth transition. Caitlin comes to us with over seven years of municipal government, and we know that she will be a great fit for our town.

Along with a new Municipal Clerk, we will have a new Deputy Clerk, Lori Swiston as BarbaraThomas, has taken a position in another municipality. Lori Swiston is excited to begin her journey in our municipal office and will be the new Board of Health Secretary and the Environmental Commission secretary. Lori will also be taking the classes to become a Certified Municipal Registrar.
