First Calithon Bike Race

Please join us Saturday, July 11th at 10 AM for Califon’s first Calithon. The Calithon is a family bike race on the Columbia Trail for children ages 6 to 14 accompanied by a parent or other adult.

Participants will be split into two age groups to race. Children ages 6 to 9, along with their adult partner, will race together.

Children age 10 to 14, along with their adult partner, will race together.

The race will begin and end at the Train Station in Califon. All participants will race in the direction of High Bridge. Younger participants will bike to the first road crossing before turning around, and older participants will bike further to Hoffman’s Crossing intersection before turning around. The race will end with refreshments and awards for all participants! The top three finishers of both age groups will also receive a prize.

• There must be 1 adult accompanying each child that participates. That adult will stay biking next to that child for the whole race.
• Please arrive by 10 AM at the Califon Train Station. Upon arrival, you will need to sign a Califon Township waiver in order to participate.
