Hunterdon County Transferring Parkland to Califon Borough

The County of Hunterdon has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to transfer ownership of parkland from the County of Hunterdon to the Borough of Califon. This parkland surrounds Califon Island Park, located at 103 Mill St, and consists of 9.65 Acres. The Green Acres restrictions on the parkland will be transferred to the parkland and will run with the property in perpetuity.

There will be a public hearing at the Califon Municipal Building on July 18, 2024.
