Ever notice how nice our little island in front of the Post Office looks? This little patch of land is the first thing people see when they cross over our bridge. For years it has been planted, watered and weeded by Patty, the owner of Flowers by the River, even though this area is not owned or leased by Patty.
If anyone has a few minutes to spare this summer, please stop in the Flower shop and ask Patty what you could do to help keep this island beautiful. Usually just a few minutes of pulling weeds is all it takes to keep it maintained.
