Mr. James Gamble, interim superintendent of schools, distributed a letter (in PDF Format, here, Please disable any pop up blockers, as the letter will appear in a new window) on September 23, 2014, outlining an important imitative that the school district plans to implement by December 2014.
The school district intends to develop a “shared vision”, or a written statement, constructed with input from all of the community’s stakeholders. The “Shared Vision” will describe, in detail, the school’s educational programs and overall environment for today and tomorrow.
To succeed, input from everyone connected to the school community is desired. There will be group meetings during the month of October, followed by the approval of the “Shared Vision” at the December Board of Education meeting .
These meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM, and Wednesday, October 29 at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM. These meetings will be held at the Califon School and are open to parents, staff, and community members. For those unable to attend the meetings, surveys will be provided.
Additional information will be provided by the school district, during the process.
