Is your organization thinking about fundraising this year? Are you considering a Tricky Tray, 50- 50 raffle? If so, please make sue you are aware of the State of New Jersey Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission requirements.
A qualified organization, (Charitable organizations, Organizations or associations of veterans, religious , educational, Volunteer Fire Companies, first aid, ect) must FIRST register with the Control Commission bi-annually. Once the registration is received from the state LGCCC you can apply for a raffle license through the Borough Clerk, at least two months prior to the raffle. The application for a raffle event must first be approved via a Resolution by the Mayor and Council and it is then transmitted to the LGCCC for their approval.
