Dear Califon Homeowner/Property Owner,

By now you must have heard about the proposed construction work that is forthcoming in the Borough of Califon.

Rock Solid Construction has a contract with the Borough of Califon for this construction known as Railroad Avenue/ Main St Stormwater Improvement. The purpose of the project is to update the current storm water infrastructure system which will reduce the potential of flooding caused by heavy rain. This construction is a major undertaking of which will lead to some unavoidable inconveniences, such as detours for vehicular traffic, noise, and the overall interruption of your normal daily routine.

The first phase of construction will be the relocation of the existing water mains and transferring water services to the new water mains. This work is being performed by AquaNJ the owner of the water distribution system. Any questions and concerns regarding this phase of construction should be directed to AquaNJ. Once this relocation work is complete, construction of the storm sewer improvements will begin, starting at Mill St and working up Main St. In order to minimize inconveniences and disruptions, we intend to make every effort to expedite the completion of the project to the best of our ability by adding additional manpower and equipment to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Should any local businesses require delivery of goods, it would help to give us advanced notice so that we can make access to your delivery point available by utilizing steel road plates and other means necessary.

The final phase of the project will consist of constructing a new asphalt overlay on Main St. and the restoration of any damage driveways including landscaping. During the course of construction should anyone have questions or concerns in particular people with special need requirements kindly contact me, as I will be the supervisor in charge of the project and would be glad to discuss your concerns.
