From Mayor Daniel
– All roads within the borough are open. However, due to the current storm, roads are extremely slippery. Do not travel.
– Voorhees High School and Califon School currently have power restored.
– Within Califon Borough, the power has been restored along Route 513 and the neighborhood surrounding the school.
– Power outages are currently along River Road and upper Main Street. JCP&L is aware of this. Crews are currently working on power lines down between the substations (Rt. 31 and Tewksbury) and Califon, the lines that bring power to Califon. As progress is made, crews move closer to Califon. That is the reason why crews may not be currently seen within the Borough.
– Estimated time of restoration is Wednesday, 11:00 PM. However, the current storm may have a negative impact on the restoration process, so plan for another day or two of no power.
– Califon’s fire house meeting room is set up as a warming center until 4:00 PM today. Utilize this station if necessary.
