Washington Township Police Update

The Washington Township Police Department proudly serves the Borough of Califon through a shared service agreement. 

It is the mission of the Department “to protect life and property, enforce the law in a fair and impartial manner, and to preserve the peace, order, and safety of the communities we serve. We will act in partnership with the community in a pro-active manner to promote a responsive approach to quality of life issues. We will strive to accomplish our mission in a professional, courteous, and compassionate fashion. We will be equally responsive to our employees and the public we serve.” 

In February 2025 the Police Department responded to 1,007 calls in Califon.

In March 2025, they responded to 911 calls, and initiated 52 car stops.
